A little word association to describe what used to be a Youngman family tradition: to spend at least one day each year snowshoeing along the Pine River, stopping to make a campfire to roast some hotdogs and our frozen toesies. We renewed the tradition this year, sans Wadeo (who is indisposed in a much more tropical locale), and added beer. It was a lovely day next to Poplar Creek.

Side note: the trip inspired dreams of sugar plums and winter camping. A post on the latter will hopefully be coming soon.
